Ghost Bar

So with the crew in the middle of an identity crisis Gwedo and myself decide to check out the new Ghost Bar Dallas atop the W-Hotel downtown Saturday night. So we check into the La Quinta Inn across from Knox Pub around 6pm. This is just back up in case the Ghost doesn't take and we need to revert to plan B. We could only recruit two other members for this adventure which included Big Wu and Lester the molester! So we head down to the W-Hotel around 7pm for a cocktail in the lounge. We pull into the Valet and the guy says to Ryan "what event are you here for sir" Like a deer in the headlights Ryan stalls for at least 15 seconds before I have to pinch hit from the back seat to exclaim "Ah Ghost Bar" Hilarious stuff believe me... So we roll into the lounge where there are several Ghost hopefuls sipping the hard stuff and enjoying the scene. 16.50 for two Devils Juice starters.... Clearly going to be a cheap night! 8pm is Ghost time so we have an hour to cruise the lobby and gage the flavor for the evening. No celebrity sightings however plenty of hot chics and the bar staff walking around in White wife beaters and skimply black shorts.... Jackpot! About 10 minutes before 8 it starts pissing Cats N Dogs outside which doesn't bode well for the line roped off to get upstairs. The staff decides to move the line inside and we procede to get in that muther about 25 people from the elevator up! Now we had been pre warned of a 20.00 cover so we were all armed with Stamps including Ryan's 2 Stamp ATM stop prior to arriving at the hotel. Clearly he was armed and dangerous for the evening! As we get close to the Vator Gwedo confirms the cover with a large man bouncer and he says "Cover is 20.00 but you guys are getting in free" SCORE! That just bought me 2 more Devils Juice! Hop in the elevator and the guy hits the Larry Bird floor! Yes C.C the Ghost Bar Dallas is on the Larry Bird 33 Floor. Now this may seem wimpy compared to the 55th floor in Vegas however once inside you could see why it was a thing of beauty!
Step off the elevator and into the bar where my jaw dropped at the SIZE of the place... At least double the size of the Vegas version if not triple! One long stretch bar through the entire lounge with another mini bar at the end. Throw in an outside bar on the Deck and it was fabulous!! We immediately grab some coctails and hit up a waitress to ask about celebrity fuzz. She would not confirm any names but did tell us Cuba Gooding Jr was in the house the night before and that alot of the Brass come in early to avoid the crowds... The web site was promoting Tommy Lee and Dre Dre which was really what pumped us up for the visit.. Regretably we did not see a single celeb the whole evening but that didn't stop us from mixing it up. My Hot Blonde friend shannon (see myspace) came down to party with us and the shots started flying! The funniest was some random guy at the bar buying Gwedo and I a round of Patrons and saying "Here we gotta do these before my wife gets back, she doesn't like it when I get drunk" ha ha hilarious Then telling Gwedo to go pluck his wife out of the crowd being hit on by some dude..... Good Stuff! There is a deck outside which stretches the length of the bar with a breath taking view of the city. The Maloofs will be jealous of this version in my opinion because it trumps the one in Vegas! Bar staff is Hot! what a surprise.... All the cocktail girls are dressed in White with the Fuck me pumps up to the knee, garter belts & stockings, short white skirt and silicone dominating the upper half! Cocktails are 10 bucks and the glasses are larger outside on the deck for some reason... Odd! ATM by bathroom for backup stamps and yes I hit it once... ha ha
