Fantasy Football

With the draft upon us this weekend I thought it was only appropriate to throw out some trash to get the juices flowing. I'm disgusted with the crop of talent in fantasy football these days.... Remember the days of Montana, Marino, & Elway? Rice, Brown, & Carter? B. Sanders, T. Thomas, & E Smith? The pool of talent in fantasy football drafts in recent years has been like picking out socks at the salvation army... It's a joke! With that I give you the burning questions to start the season......

What is it with these guys and hamstrings? Are they hurt or just ditching camp? T.O, H Ward, S. Smith....... There were no hamstring issues in the 80's.... Suck it fucking up!

Which Manning do you draft?

Is Reggie Bush a first round selection?

Will Carson Palmer break his twig again the first month of the season?

Is Portis done for the year?

Will the cards be on the rise or is their offensive line still "Offensive"?

Leinart or Young? Who breaks out first?

Will Jay Cutler be better than both of them at some point?

Is Culpeppper ready to rolllllll?

Does Chad Johnson have his "Jailhouse Rock" dance ready to go?

What week will T.O and the Cowboys blow up?

Will Romo pull a Tom Brady and knock Bledsoe from the catbird seat?

Does Roeththisburger see the hangover season coming or is he still fuzzy from his concrete facial?

Where is Deion Branch? Is Tom Brady rebuilding with 5 tight ends and a rookie from Minnesota......

Is Ced Benson a flash in the pan like Ricky Williams?

Will Diego burn Tomlinson out?

Does Phil Rivers have anyone to throw to?

Will Lelie enjoy his 3 hole in Hotlanta a half million dollars lighter.... LOL

Does Winslow really think he's the best tight end in football having caught only 5 balls in 2 years..?

Golf

I suck! There is no other way to put it! Then why do I love it sooooo much? What keeps me coming back for more...? Why would I waste money on a sport I have no chance of doing well at?
I spent 28 bucks yesterday to go play 13 holes in 107 degree heat with Ron! It was BRUTAL! My slice was in hog heaven and I couldn't chip to save my life.....
Golf is kinda like poker.... You can be card dead all day and then win one Big Pot that keeps you coming back for more... In golf you can shoot poorly all day and then make a 50 yard chip for birdie that keeps you coming back for more.... You can drill a 70 foot putt for par that amazes your pals and that keeps you coming back for more....
Sure you can take a lesson and improve your game..... Sure you can work on the mechanics and shave some strokes off.... But I prefer the unknown and the excitement of the next Big Shot to fall...... To see the boys faces when you pull of some bullshit shot for the ages..... Keep the coors lights rolling and lets play boys!!!!

Weekend Wrap

Hey Hey we have a winner! Made it through 3 sets of the MAX Friday night without getting kicked out! What a miracle considering the bright white shirt I was wearing! Ray Charles could of spotted my drunkenness.... Spent the night on a pool side lounge chair over at Ron's til about 5am. Carrot and I had a nice little wrestling match at the back door for about 30 seconds.... Jesus, had to move to the Saturn after neck stiffened up.... Doors to club 6850 finally opened up at 6:45am and I was able to get a nice 10 minute nap on a regular matress.... Going to have to consult club owner on where spare key is hidden.... I know he must have a few scattered around for fear of pulling another Bruce Lee on the door! With a comfy nights rest under my belt it was off to golf at 7:30am! Man I felt great! Stiff neck, no shower, and gooo boogers running from my eyes! Stroll into snack bar and order a bacon and egg sammy with a gatorade chaser... 9 miller lights requested for first 9 and the lady only gave us 6. WTF! In a full blown haze I somehow was playing remarkably well considering my normal round is a 120 at best... Shot of the day came on par 3 16th.... Ron had already nailed a drive within 2.5 fee of cup and I was on my second shot about 40 yards to the left of the pin... I proceed to take a nice little quarter 7 iron and one hop the fricking ball into the CUP! Boom Shaka Laka! No pressure on Ron's birdie put as he slides it by giving me a 3 shot lead with 2 to play.... Ah I should sleep this good more often... I'm naming 16 "Birdie Heaven" since we have had 2 Birdie chips in the past month...
Went on to shoot a 102, my best by far in my hideous golf career... I'm sure I'll be getting an invite for a rematch this week and things will get back to normal with the 120 spot... Just call me Phil for now....
